I'm attempting to get on a routine so thought I'd blog as part of that...and what a great way to tell you all about our summer. This summer has been treemdously short, fun, and full of emotion. Jason got a new job working for the Twin Falls County, so our summer "vacations" had to be lived in the first couple of weeks and over the weekends. Summer is so much fun. There is so much to love about summer. Camping, backyard fun, drive-ins, races, the adventure of exploring our beautiful country with my family, and of course yard sales. We only went camping once this year. No lake side camping...bummer. We went to the South Hills. It's part of the Sawtooth National Forest, yet located completely separate in the southern most part of Idaho and begins on the Nevada border. We've been camping there since the kids were toddlers. Nice wade able creek runs along side the campsites. Aj dug up like 30 fresh water mussels. This area also has maintained outhouse periodically. Which is always a huge bonus when camping. Sawtooth National Forest is also the home of Magic Mountain Ski Resort. We stay pretty close to the bottom most northern section. Because we live so close this makes for a great weekend or spur of the moment trip. We did attempt another camping trip up by Anderson Reservoir, but tuned into a long drive instead.
